ECG  &  Pharmacology®

The adult ECG & Pharmacology Course addresses  key knowledge  in electrocardiogram (ECG) and pharmacology, and focuses on specific ECG recognition skills and drug treatment knowledge. The course is a pre-course option for ACLS students and other healthcare providers, or is also intended for ACLS students who complete ACLS pre-course self-assessment and find they need to improve their knowledge. This is also a great course for prospective employees to enter the field of healthcare as a Non Invasive Cardio Technician (Monitor Technician). Students will gain knowledge to interprete adult cardiac rhythms and recognize abnormalities.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support®

Advanced cardiac life support or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiopulmonary emergencies.  This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units. ACLS is an advanced, instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In this course, skills are taught in large, group sessions and small, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.
 
 
Pediatric Advanced Life Support®

PALS
 

 
The PALS Course is for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children. These include personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics and others who need a PALS course completion card for job or other requirements. This classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.
 
 
Basic Life Support® for Healthcare Providers

BLS/BCLS
 
     Also referred to as CPR for Professional Rescuers, these CPR courses are reserved for emergency medical personnel. This course covers CPR as well as removing airway obstructions (choking) for adults, infants and children.This course also covers AED, ventilation devices, barriers for performing rescue breathing and two person CPR techniques. If you plan to go into the medical field, this course is definitely for you. This is also a great option for daycare workers.
 
 
Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization
PEARS®
The PEARS course helps healthcare providers develop the knowledge and skills needed for emergency evaluation and treatment of seriously ill infants and children. Targeted toward healthcare providers who infrequently see critically ill or injured infants and children, the goal of this course is to improve the quality of care provided, resulting in improved outcomes.
 
 
Skills Evaluation for BLS, PALS, and ACLS
Skills Evaluations for BLS, PALS, and ACLS are available for those individuals who have completed the written content of their course online and need ONLY to complete the Hands On  portion of their course in order to receive the course certification. In order to receive your course certification one must print and submit certificates provided by the American Heart Association upon successful completion of the online course.
 
 
HeartSaver® CPR for Family & Friends
    The simplest form of CPR can be learned in about an hour.It only covers CPR for adults, which is defined as 8 years of age or older by the American Heart Association. This course requires the least amount of medical knowledge and is perfect for couples and loved ones in general who would like to arm themselves with the ability to "act fast" if the unthinkable ever presents itself.You have the option to include or omit AED training with this course as it is not a requirement.
 
 
HeartSaver® Adult Child & Infant CPR
    If you work within an office, this course is OSHA approved. If you care for children under 8 years of age, this course is also for you. It is ESSENTIAL for ANYONE who works with children under 8 years of age to have the knowledge to perform CPR, and to also familiarize themselves with clearing airway obstruction (choking) as well. If you coach, or volunteer at schools, churches, community centers, or daycare then child and infant CPR is essential. This course does include AED training.
Within the work place, this course will aid in preparation of assisting in saving the life of a co worker, friend or stranger.
 
 
HeartSaver® First Aid

     This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. This Course is OSHA approved. Heartsaver First Aid is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies.

Heartsaver® Bloodborne Pathogens
     Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens Course is a classroom course that teaches employees how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. This course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction.
 
This course is designed for anyone with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens such as:
• Correctional Officers
• Childcare workers
• Security guards
• Maintenance workers
• School personnel
• Hotel housekeepers
• Health and fitness club staff
• Tattoo artists

This course uses the PACT acronym (Protect, Act, Clean, Tell) and slogan, “Make a PACT, Know How to Act,” to help students learn and easily recall bloodborne pathogens training.
 
 
 Emergency Oxygen Administration
Facilitated through American Safety and Health Institute
The Emergency Oxygen administration program is a critical step in treating a severe or life-threatening illness or injury. Serious and life-threatening medical emergencies often cause oxygen to be depleted in the body leaving the victim at risk for cardiac arrest or brain damage. This program focuses on administering emergency oxygen, rescue breathing and oxygen delivery devices. This course is intended for community and workplace non professional rescuers and persons.
